This week is the final presentation for BizNet. In it, I will show current working prototypes between UI Design and DB design, as well as a structured plan for future development.
This project will hopefully continue into the fall entering it's refinement and release phases partway through the year.
This week's work consisted of finalizing the prototypes for demonstration at this week's presentation.
Week's Work
This week's worked consisted of the continuation of product entry development. This is a slow and tedious process as small errors could break the system. The most delicate part of it is the category control, this is because products can have multiple categories but categories don't have multiple products, this is a rule that has to be embedded into the system. Next week will be my final presentation where I'll show a small demo of the progress and announce future plans for the project where I hope to continue into the fall to complete the project as well as gain more team members to help the process move more quickly.
Interface Work
I've developed a database for product and order control, and I am currently developing the interface for product, category, and order entry. The hardest part will be integrating a multiple product, order system. This will take some time, a lot of which include making the interface as well-made as possible, making it intuitive in design and function. I've successfully been able to pool the database with category options in product entry, generating a list of categories to choose from. These features will lead to the all important order system, which will be the most complicated to keep track of and will require the most attention, this will be completed within the coming weeks.
